Spring Fisherman Festival in Iwaya, next door to Circolo

Every 2nd Sunday in MARCH, At Iwaya Fisherman’s brigade sailing out from Iwaya port for their parade, pray for their rich harvest and safe during fishing at sea.
The event consider to the sign of spring coming for local.

The parade associated with IWAYA Shrine Spring festival.
During the event, HAMASHIBAI, small theater will be held at their open space. The classic play, “HAMASHIBAI” is drama acted by Evisu, Japanese classic god of wealth, the fisherman and get Red snapper.

During the event, free seafood soup provide. Also when the priest spread rice cake for every visitor, the event will reach peak of exciting time.
You may feel spring has coming strongly.

This year, 2020, the event start MAR/08, 10:00, at Iwaya Shrine (Iwaya Shrine in Googlemap), 1.5km north from Circolo.
Even you can clearly watch the brigade parade just in front of Circolo.
They stop and pray beside of our place!!!!
