Where you should rest during Awaji Round Island Cycling. South Awaji Rest spot
“AWA ICHI” mean Round cycling trip Awaji Island, basically start fm Nth Part, Iwaya Port.
Sumoto City, Center of the Island, is 30km distance fm Iwaya and may be 1st rest place. At the city you can find any place to have small rest at the most big city in the Island.
1st Rest area for Awaichi Cycling
May be 1st rest area for the Awaichi Cycling is Family mart, convenience store, just you pass to the Sumoto Onsen Village, (Hot Spring Hotels), just after past Sumoto City area. After this convenience store, hardly you can find any convenient store nor small local shop. Strongly suggest rest there to prepare fill your bottle of water and go toilet.
After you finish your rest, you will pass Yura Fisherman’s village. Be careful the surface of road is bit rough. Then, you will reach to most hilly place, “SUISEN KYOU”, about 200m climb.
AMA Terrasse, Rest place for Awaichi Cyclist
Down hill of after the climb, riding along to quit coastal road, then you will reach to FUKURA, Most biggest Touring Spot in this Island.
Since TOO MANY Tourists at Weekend in Fukura, It is bit troublesome to have long relaxing time at Fukura.
Thus, recommend to have Bike Ride Rest just before Fukura City.
Recommend “AMA TERRACE” that recently opened, just along to “AWA ICHI” route.
Passing most hilly place, “SUISEN KYOU”, about 200m climb, then you will reach to FUKURA, Most biggest Touring Spot in this Island.

Recommend “AMA Terrace” that newly opened last DEC, just along to “AWA ICHI” route.
The Owner of AMA Terrace is also (Ex?)cyclist.
You can ask Tube/Tire or wire, spare parts if you have Mechanical Trouble.

But be careful, Hilly place will start just after you leave AMA Terrace…
